Your Children Will Love Biblical Kids Games

Biblical kids agame can be played anywhere – at home, in Sunday school, in the car, or at a friend’s house. Did you know there are even Bible trading cards?  How about throwing a theme party based on Bible stories? Plan your activities to include a “VeggieTale” movie and some fun biblical kids games.  For younger children, you can suggest a version of “Simon Says” called “Noah Says”:  In this game, the children will pretend to be dogs, cats, and ducks. First, divide them into three teams. One team is dogs, another is cats, and the third team is ducks.  Explain to the teams that they are dogs, cats, or ducks. Dogs bark, sit and beg; cats meow and pretend to lick their paws, and ducks quack and waddle (bending down with hands touching shoulders like wings). When you give the commands preceded with “Noah says” all critters follow the command. Examples would be: Noah says bark, Noah says meow, Noah says waddle, Noah says sit, and so on.  When you give a one-word command without saying Noah says first, only the corresponding “critter” should act out the command. When a child does not follow a command correctly, he’s out of the game. The team with the last remaining player wins.  For older children, you can combine commands to make it more difficult. For example: Noah says, “bark and waddle” (everyone barks and waddles), or Noah says, “lick and quack” (only cats lick and only ducks quack).  A great memory children game is called “Amazing Verse”. Recite a Bible verse with the kids. Repeat it several times, with emphasis! Write the verse on the board and leave some key words out. See how well the children recall the verse by trying to fill in the blanks.  Another area of Biblical kids games are those like Bible trivia, Bible Jeopardy (like the TV game show), crossword puzzles, and Bible quiz challenges.  Always choose age-appropriate agames, and have plenty of rewards on hand!    About the Author  Visit Kids Crafts and agame to find free inspiration on kids crafts and games.
